Boxing has always been a hopeful way out of poverty, crime and rootlessness. For Dmitriy Salita, Russian immigrant, it was even more a way into finding purpose in his life and in seeing the connection between his faith in himself and with his faith in God. As a deeply observant Orthodox Jew, Dmitriy’s fascinating and inspiring story is the coming together of “body and soul.” Dmitriy truly believes he has found God through boxing. In the end, the film is also about something more; a young man finding his identity and place in life.
